‘ The Moseley Beach Club-Kodachrome’ - Moseley Beach - Glenelg Beach - Glenelg - Adelaide, SA. March 2024. Like a mini French Riviera, the Moseley Beach Club in Glenelg Beach is a super attraction for young beachgoers in Glenelg during the golden summer afternoons. For the photographer’s eyes, however, it still brings a bit of nostalgia, perhaps due to its aesthetic, somewhat ‘Southern European’, resembling (to me) the French Riviera, and also reminding, perhaps, of the 60s. Hence, the ‘Kodachrome’ in the title of the photo and the reason why I developed this photo in a way to pass onto the viewer the atmosphere of the late 60/70’s, the southern European “Je ne sais quoi” and the colours of Kodachrome. ‘ Kodachrome

La Vendedora de Pequeñas Cosas’ / The Small Things Street Vendor - Buenos Aires - Argentina. One afternoon, whilst I was walking throughout the streets of outskirts Buenos Aires, I bumped into this old lady, selling small personal articles to earn a living. That made me think about how hard it is to earn a living, in Latin America, if you’re poor, black, old or indigenous. And yet, these people are deeply engraved within the very roots of the land. Their land. We’re stepping on their land. We are the ones who should be grateful.
' Analog Scene ' - Motorcycle Parking - Victoria Square - Tarndanyangga - Adelaide - June 2022. This photo was born out of an assignment that my photography tutor had given to me. I have to confess, initially, I wasn't very fond of the idea; given the fact he asked me to take the picture in f/8 and that, according to my thinking, would flatten the depth of field of the image. All in all, I've chosen this particular point in Victoria Square because it reminds me of Barcelona, or some cafés in Paris or Buenos Aires. It definitely talks to'me'. I love the light in that particular point of Victoria Square on Autumnal Saturday mornings, specially. As to its post-processing I 'added' some grains to the final image to provide a 'vintage'atmosphere ; like an analog image taken on film.

Basking No.1’ - Barrio Gótico - Barcelona - Spain, February 1993 / Reprocessed from original film roll to digital in Adelaide, Australia in June 2023. - Thirty years ago, as I was walking down the “Barrio Gótico “ (Gothic neighbourhood) in Barcelona, I was stopped by this musician playing a piece of music I hadn’t ever heard before. That piece of music was “Asturias” by the Spanish composer Isaac Albéniz. I was immediately captured by its poignant melody, beautifully executed in the grey cloudy winter day of February in 1993. I took three of four shots of him, playing the Spanish guitar and despite all the cold, I felt warm and comforted
